Yog Guru Ram Dev plans to open 10,000 yog centres

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 21
Yog Guru Swami Ram Dev today said that he would make efforts to open as many as 10,000 Yog Training centres in the State within next two years with the assistance of State Government so as to impart yog training to the youth.
He was speaking at a felicitation function organized to honour him for becoming the brand ambassador of Haryana to promote Yoga and Ayurveda in the State at Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai in district Sonipat today.  
Swami Ram Dev described Haryana as ‘ Hari Ki Bhumi’ and said that it is the same land where lord Krishna has given his celestial message of Bhagwad Gita about 5000 years ago. Similarly, from the same land, the message of Yoga and Ayurveda would resound in the whole world today. Haryana would get a new recognition in the World for Yoga and Ayurveda, he added.
While lauding the announcement of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal to open Vyayam Shalas and Yog Shalas in all about 6500 villages in the State, Swami Ram Dev said that he would make efforts to open as many as 10,000 Yog Training Centres in the State within next two years with the assistance of State Government so as to impart training to the youth.
He reminded that in the ancient times Nalanda and Takshashila were famous for imparting education to about 10,000 students. But we would bring out a new edition of Nalanda and Takshashila in the form of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Acharyakulam where more than one lakh student would get Vedic education. With this, the people from entire world would come to see this place, he added. Swami Ram Dev said that the Patanjali Yogpeeth is the largest Yog Centre in world and added that a Yogpeeth and Acharyakulam would be opened in Haryana which would be much bigger than Patanjali Yogpeeth.
Swami Ram Dev thanked the Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal for making him the Brand Ambassador of Haryana. He assured the Chief Minister that he would work selflessly by rising above any honour and reproach so as to maintain the glory of Rishi Munis (Saints) in the State, country and abroad.
He said that it was a matter of pride that the first Acharyakulam in Haridwar was inaugurated by Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and first Acharyakulam in Haryana is being started by Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today. He said that besides modern education in computers and science, Vedic education would also be imparted in Acharyakulam. Swami Ram Dev also thanked Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for their efforts at political level to get due recognition to Yoga world over. It was the result of his relentless efforts that 177 countries in UNO has acknowledged Yoga and decided to observe June 21 as World Yog Day. He said that Mr Modi emerged as a nationalist leader who advocated for Vedic Education besides modern education.
          He said that medicine ‘Putrajivak’ is the name of a herbal medicine which is meant to treat the problem of infertility among the female and it has nothing to do with boy or girl gender. This medicine has been prescribed by the doctors of Indian Systems of Medicine, he added.
