Counseling for admission to vacant seats in Industrial Training Institutes

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 15
Department of Industrial Training, Haryana has decided to conduct sixth counseling for admission to vacant seats in all its Industrial Training Institutes in the state.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that the admissions would be made on the basis of merit and there would be no reservation in available seats. He said that on the basis of trade, the admission would be conducted by adding all kinds of weightage, if any, in minimum academic qualifications.
        He said that as per the schedule, the dates of admission for candidates having 60 per cent or more marks would be September 17, 19 and 20. In case of candidates having less than 60 per cent marks, the admissions would be between September 21 and 25. The admissions to private industrial training institutes would be held upto September 25, 2016.
        The spokesman said that the interested candidates would report at the institute concerned along with all certificates or admission fee by 10 a.m.  The list of institution wise vacant seats is available on portal www.itihry.com. The admissions conducted through online portal by the institutes would be considered valid, he added.
 HC ALLOWS ADMISSION TO VARSITIES: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has allowed admissions to the Universities and Institutions subject to some conditions.
            While stating this here today, a spokesman of General Administration Department, said that the writ petition CWP No. 18514 of 2016-Kalindi Vashishtha Vs. State of Haryana and others came up for hearing before the High Court on September 8, 2016 and the Bench has posted the matter for September 19, 2016.
           He said that in the meantime, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has allowed to go ahead with the admissions in the Universities and Institutions subject to the condition that the concerned institutions and universities who are conducting counseling to ensure that the whatsoever admissions would be made against 10 per cent EBP vertical reserved amongst unreserved category, that would be subject to the outcome of the decision of the present petition as well as the decision of Supreme Court of India in SLP (c) No. 23544/23547/2016. A stipulation to this effect be made while admitting the respective students in the present category and they be made aware specifically about the fact that their admissions would be subject to the outcome of the present petition as well as the SLP (C) No. 23544/23547/2016 pending in the Supreme Court of India.
          The spokesman said that all the Administrative Secretaries, Head of Departments and the Registrar of all the Universities in the State have been asked to ensure the full compliance of these instructions and take necessary action in the matter accordingly.
