Tourism is to get a big boost in Haryana as the State Government has decided to offer a number of projects for their development on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
While stating this here today, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism, Mr Sameer Pal Srow said that these projects included Wellness Resort-cum-Health Spa at Kaziana near Mallah on Panchkula-Shimla road and leasing of health club at Aravalli Golf Club in Faridabad.
He said that other such projects being offered included heritage theme based hotel in Madhogarh, about 136 km from Delhi, Buddhist Tourist Theme Park at Topra Kalan in Yamunanagar District and a Floating Restaurant at Karna Lake in Karnal.
He said that there is also a plan to set up an Amusement-cum-Recreational Park at Tilyar Lake in Rohtak and offer to set up and run an Amusement Park at Hisar.
Mr Srow said that with a view to promote adventure tourism, it has been decided to offer development and operation of adventure and water sports activities at Ambala and Kaithal. Also, projects related to adventure activities would be set up over an area of 1.5 acres at Sohna in District Gurgaon and Hodal in District Faridabad. He said that Eco-Tourism Camping Sites would be developed over an area of 22 acres at Damdama in District Gurgaon.
ENTERTAINMENT TAX EXEMPTION: The Haryana Government has decided to exempt the Continental Wrestling Entertainment Tournaments to be held in Gurgaon and Panipat on October 8 and 11, 2016, respectively, from entertainment tax.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that 15 international wrestlers of WWE Wrestling and 35 Indian wrestlers would participate in this event, which would serve the objects of the sports in respect of fun, recreation, relaxation, competition and socio-economic development.
He said that therefore, Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has approved the proposal to exempt the sale of tickets for the Tournaments from entertainment tax.
ONLINE TRANSFERS BY HSED: The Haryana School Education Department has started the online process of transfer of Classical and Vernacular (C and V) teachers and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) under its new Teachers’ Transfer Policy-2016.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that those teachers who had not yet completed five-year tenure in a school or area and still wish to get transferred, should log in on the MIS Portal and click on ‘Yes’ option latest by September 25, 2016 to express their willingness for transfer. For selecting the ‘Yes’ option, the service profile of the teacher concerned should be complete in all respects.
The spokesman said that applications of only those teachers would be considered who have not completed five years in a school and have selected ‘Yes’ option on the MIS Portal. He said that a separate schedule would later be issued for selection of district, area and school. Those teachers who have completed five years in a particular zone or school, have been newly-promoted, have opted for transfer and the surplus teachers remaining after redistribution of posts would be able to select zones and schools according to priority, he added.
He said that the Director, Elementary Education Department has directed all District Elementary Education Officers to ensure that Principals of schools approve or reject the applications made by employees of their school concerned for change in profile. The Principals would also ensure that profile correction request or ‘sent profile for approval’ request of any employee does not go unattempted, he added.
