Appointment letters of 350 doctors issued: CM

CHANDIGARH, NOV 28
Reiterating his government commitment to provide better health care facilities to the people of the State, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that appointment letters of 350 doctors has been issued recently to meet the demand of doctors and added that more doctors would be recruited soon. He also announced to increase the monthly wages of ambulance drivers engaged on contract basis from Rs 7000 to Rs 9000.
        Mr Manohar Lal was interacting with the media persons after redressing grievances of people at Khula Darbra organized at Karnal today.
        In reply to a question, he said that all cases of social security pensions including the old age allowance would be disposed of by next month.
 To an another query, he said that all the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to get the feasibility study conducted from the respective departments regarding the announcements of various developmental projects so that the announcements might not remain on papers and it would actually be implemented.
        Asked about the shortage of radiologists in General Hospital, Karnal, the Chief Minister said that services of private doctors would be hired through the outsourcing for some time till the appointment of regular radiologists.
He said that a provision of Chief Minster (CM) Window has been made at all district headquarters where immediate action was taken on the complaints but the programme of Khula Darbar was being organized to increase the satisfaction level among the people, he added.  
        The Chief Minister said that with a view to ensure proper drainage system in the villages of the State, direction have been issued to prepare a scheme of sewerage system for big villages having population of more than 10,000.
        In the Khula Darbar programme, more than 100 applications were received and the Chief Minister assured the people of necessary action as per the rules. He also directed the officers to take immediate action on some complaints.
Later the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 15.45 crore at Panchayat Bhawan.  These included widening of road from Pucca Khera Mor to village Pabana at a cost of Rs 9.85 crore, 10 Gram Sachivalayas to be constructed in villages falling in Indri Constituency of the district namely Rambha, Badagaon, Sanghoi, Sayad Chapra, Jainpur Sadhan, Chaugavan, Samora, Nagla Rodan, Musepur and Dhanokheri.  A sum of Rs three crore would be incurred on the construction of these Gram Sachivalayas. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of Community Centre in village Kunjpura to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore and construction of sports stadium in village Barota at a cost of Rs 1.10 crore.
        Minister of State for Food and Supplies Mr Karan Dev Kamboj, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr Bakhshish Singh Virk, Mayor Municipal Corporation Mrs Renu Bala, OSD Mr Amrender Singh, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Mrs Sumedha Kataria, Deputy Commissioner Mr J. Ganesan, Superintendent of Police Mr  Pankaj Nain and other prominent personalities were also present on this occasion.
