Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that the demands of radiographers would be considered sympathetically.
In this regard, Radiographer Association of Haryana today called on the Health Minister with their demands. The members of the association raised all their issues, which were heard sympathetically by the Minister and assured to resolve them.
Meanwhile, Mr Vij said that MRI and CT scan machines would soon be installed in three more hospitals in the state. Before this, MRI and CT scan machines were made operational in four other hospitals.
Mr Vij said that these three hospitals where these machines would be installed include Bhagat Phool Singh (BPS) Government Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, Shaheed Hassan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Mewat, and Civil Hospital, Panipat. In these medical colleges, 1.5 Tesla MRI and 128 Slice CT scan machines would soon be made operational. Besides this, a new building is being constructed in Civil Hospital, Panipat, immediately after this CT scan machine would be installed in the new building. This would help in providing inexpensive treatment to the patients, he added.
The Health Minister said that in the first phase, MRI and CT scan machines have been installed and operationalised in four hospitals of the state which included Civil Hospital, Panchkula, Bhiwani, Faridabad and Gurgaon. In these hospitals, 1.5 Tesla MRI and 16 Slice CT scan have been installed. For this, trained doctors and staff have been posted in these hospitals so that patients do not face any problem.
Mr Vij said that these machines are being installed under Public Private Partnership. Under this, people are provided with cheaper and free of cost healthcare facilities. Free services are being provided to patients belonging to BPL families, residents of urban slums, patients receiving disability allowance from the government, unattended roadside accident victims, patients belonging to Scheduled Caste families, State Government employees, pensioners and their dependents and poor patients who do not belong to any of these categories. The cost of treatment of such patients is borne by the Health Department of Haryana.
Besides this, rates which have been finalized at each centre are less than half of those of the private centres. This facility is being provided in the state hospitals at the rates which are also much lower than those at Government Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh and PGIMER Chandigarh.
