Haryana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China Agricultural Wholesale Markets Association, People’s Republic of China on Co-operation of Technical Exchange and Promotion of Agricultural Trade today.
While Agriculture Minister Mr Om Parkash Dhankar signed MOU on behalf of Haryana, Chairman Mr Zengjun MA signed it on behalf of China Agricultural Wholesale Markets Association, People’s Republic of China.
A High level delegation of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board led by Haryana Agriculture Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar is presently on a visit to China to study in depth the level of infrastructure, systems, methods etc being provided in the Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Markets of China.
The MOU has been signed to promote mutual understanding and technical exchange of comprehensive expertise for wholesale markets, in terms of knowledge and know-how about market management systems, process, methods and technologies including that of electronic, auction, parking control system, trading system, asset management etc.
It would also foster genuine and mutually beneficial communication and strengthen the exchange of information. Apart from this, it would also help in enhancing mutual understanding of trade, investment and market cooperation, facilitate promotional activities and enhance business opportunities for both countries and other related areas. A working group would be established comprising representatives of both parties.
