The Haryana Government has sent names of three persons to the Central Government for its approval to confer National Award for Child Welfare.
While stating this today, Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain said that they included Anju of Fatehabad, Ved Prakash Arya of Mahendragarh and Lucky Singra of Baba Mahavir Das Yuva Club,Singra.
Every year the government honours three persons and five organisations who have been working for the welfare of children. She said that the award winner would get Rs three lakh in cash and a letter of appreciation.
She said that apart from this, the Central Government also confers ‘Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award’ upon those three persons who have been working for the welfare of children for the last 10 years.
