Rajbir, Alok and Sanjeev promoted

CHANDIGARH, JULY 18
The Haryana Government has promoted three IPS officers, namely Alok Kumar Roy, Sanjeev Kumar Jain and Rajbir Singh Deswal to the rank of Additional Director General of Police in the Higher Administrative Grade with immediate effect.
PROPERTY TAX DEPOSIT: With a view to facilitate the people for easy deposit of their property tax in Panchkula, Kalka and Pinjore, the Panchkula Municipal Corporation has authorised eight banks for this purpose.
        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that rebate of 10 per cent would be allowed to those who deposit the property tax on the basis of self-assessment by July 31, 2016.
        He said that the banks authorised to receive property tax in Panchkula  included Indusind Bank, Sector 11,   IDBI Bank, Sector 11 and 20 , IDBI Bank, Sector 5, MDC,  Central Bank of India, Sector 10 and  Indian Overseas Bank, Sector 9.
He said that Indian Overseas Bank at Pinjore and Central Bank of India, Kalka have also been authorized for the same purpose. A public notice to this effect has also been issued by the Municipal Corporation, Panchkula, he added.
COMPENSATION PAID:  Haryana Government has so far released total compensation of Rs 70,99,77,427, including interim and final payments, to those persons whose properties were damaged in the recent agitation in the State.
        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that   private and government insurance companies have so far made payments amounting to about Rs 34,74,18,375 to the persons whose insured properties were damaged. The Government had received 2,030 claims of which 1,933 have been settled in full, he added.
He said that now only 97 claims were pending of which 17 claims were for more than Rs one crore and the remaining 80 were for amounts less than Rs one crore.
