A total of 46,416 nominations have been received during the second phase of general elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions in Haryana.
While giving this information here today, Haryana State Election Commissioner, Mr. Rajeev Sharma, said that 4,565 nominations were received for Member Panchayat Samiti, of which 2,905 were filed by men and 1,660 by women. Similarly, 12,014 nominations have been received for the post of Sarpanches, including those filed by 7,413 men and 4,601 women, and 29,837 nominations were received for the post of panches, including those filed by 17,931 men and 11,906 women.
