CHANDIGARH, JAN 4
The Haryana Government has directed all the departments to clear their pending electricity bills at the earliest and to ask for additional budget from the Finance Department wherever required for this purpose.
Instructions in this regard have been issued by the Chief Secretary to all the Administrative Secretaries, all heads of the departments, Commissioners, Ambala, Hisar, Gurgaon and Rohtak, the Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, all the Deputy Commissioners in the State of Haryana, the Managing Directors and Chief Administrators of all the Boards and Corporations and Registrars of all the Universities.
JANUARY 16 RESTRICTED HOLIDAY
Haryana Government has notified that January 16, 2016 will be observed as a restricted holiday in the Government offices, Boards and Corporations and Educational Institutes on account of Shri Guru Gobind Singh’s birthday.
A notification to this effect has been issued by the Chief Secretary here today.
PATWARI CAUGHT RED- HANDED ACCEPTING BRIBE
Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Subhash, Patwari, Halqua Hansdhar tehsil, Narwana, district Jind, red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 2,000 from Mr. Darshan Singh, a resident of Hansdhar tehsil, district Jind, in lieu of report of bank loan.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case has been registered against him under sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act at the Bureau Police Station in Hisar.
