Haryana Tourism has started online ticket booking facility for the upcoming Surajkund International Crafts Mela-2016, to be organised in Surajkund, Faridabad, from February 1 to 15, 2016. Apart from this, more access points have been introduced for buying entry tickets to the Mela this year.
While giving this information here today, Principal Secretary, Tourism, and Vice-Chairperson, Surajkund Mela Authority, Dr. Sumita Misra, said that visitors to the Mela, which is known for showcasing exquisite handlooms, handicrafts and diverse folk arts of the country, can book their tickets much in advance while sitting at home through Haryana Tourism’s official website www.haryanatourism.gov.in.
Keeping pace with the Digital India initiative, the Mela entry tickets are also available through five online ticketing portals, namely bookmyshow, buzzintown, eventshigh, townscript and explara. The payment for these can be made through the payment gateway of HDFC and Axis banks.
She said that under a tie-up with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Mela entry tickets would be made available for sale at 30 Delhi Metro stations at strategic locations, including major stations, terminal stations and interchange stations.
These stations include Dilshad Garden, Inderlok, Rithala, Samaypur Badli, Jahangir Puri, GTB Nagar, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Saket, Sikanderpur, HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre, Botanical Garden, Karol Bagh, Kirti Nagar, Uttam Nagar East, Dwarka Sector 21, Vaishali, Laxmi Nagar, Mundka, ITO, Mandi House-6, Lajpat Nagar, Govindpuri, Sarita Vihar, Tughlakabad, Badarpur, Neelam Chowk Ajronda and Escorts Mujesar.
