Girls allowed to enroll for VLDA diploma in Haryana

CHANDIGARH, JAN 24
The Haryana Government has decided to allow girls to enroll for the Veterinary Livestock Development Assistant (VLDA) diploma course being offered by Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, with effect from academic session 2016-17.
        While giving this information, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, said here today that the State Government has also given approval to increase the number of seats for residents of Haryana in Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma course from 50 to 70 with effect from academic session 2016-17. However, the additional seats for Animal Husbandry Department, Haryana, Government of Delhi, Seema Suraksha Bal and employees of the University would remain the same.
He said that it has also been decided to change the minimum educational qualification for admission to the Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma course to Class 10 plus two with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Admission to the Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma and Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory Technology programmes would now be done on the basis of entrance test based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Class 10 plus two level.
FISH MARKETS:  the Haryana Fisheries Department has established fish markets in Yamunanagar, Panipat and Faridabad.
          Apart from this, daily fish market rates are being uploaded on Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board’s website http://agmarknet.nic.in in order to facilitate fish farmers.
