Haryana Director General
Police R.S.Dalal has sought financial assistance from Central Government on
the pattern of Delhi to further improve policing in Gurgaon and Faridabad which
have become cosmopolitan cities.
Mr Dalal, who was speaking in the All India Conference of Directors
General/Inspectors General of Police -2012, in New Delhi today said that the
State should be given funds out of Metro Police Fund to further strengthen the
police force.
He said that apart from, his counterpart in Delhi has also drawn the attention
of DGPs of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to effectively check the activities of
unauthorized arms in their respective States as the criminals hailing from
these States have admitted during their interrogations that they get
unauthorized arms from these two States as these are manufactured there.He said
that specific information in this regard was also being shared with these
States.
As the Prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh had honoured the Haryana Olympian Yogeshwar Dutt on this occasion, Mr Dalal thanked the Prime Minister for giving
a cash reward of Rs 22 lakh to Yogeshwar Dutt.
