CHANDIGARH, SEPT 10
The Haryana Government has approved 11000 new posts of constables in
Haryana Police for which the process of recruitment would soon commence.
This was disclosed by Director General of Police,
Mr. Ranjiv Singh Dalal while presiding over State level welfare meeting of
police officers held at Recruit Training Centre, Bhondsi in district Gurgaon
today.
Mr. Dalal said that to fill up these posts,
advertisement would be given in newspapers. He said that State Government was
taking effective steps to modernize State Police and provide every kind
of facility to police personnel. The State Government was giving special
emphasis on education of children of police officials besides providing residential
facility to them.
He said that to provide residential facilities to
police officials, quarters have been built in various districts of the State
including Panchkula, Sonepat and Gurgaon. He said that Haryana Chief Minister,
Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda had already inaugurated 400 residential quarters
built at Gurgaon police line and they would be allotted within next 10 days.
While replying to a question, Mr. Dalal said that a new police line was being
set up over an area of 60 acres in Manesar in district Gurgaon which would be
ready by next year.
Mr. Dalal said that police training centres had
been set up at various places in the State with each having 500 policemen.
These centres were in Hisar, village Sunaria in district Rohtak, Ambala, Madhuban
in district Karnal, Jind and Faridabad. Mr. Dalal said that the State has four
battalions of Indian Reserve Battalion out of which one is deployed in Jammu
and Kashmir and three are in the State. He said that out of these three
battalions, one would be deployed in Manesar. For this, Haryana State
Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has been requested
to provide 10 acres of land, he added.
He said that Health Awareness Refresher Course
would also be organized for police officials.
