CHANDIGARH, MARCH 1
As the situation has normalized in district Sonipat, the District Magistrate, Mr Rajiv Rattan has withdrawn his earlier order issued under section 144 Cr.P.C. issued on February 18, 2016 stopping the internet services like 2G Edge,3G,4G and GPRS and bulk messages provided on mobile network in the district.
While stating this today, a spokesman of the district administration said that these services have now been allowed as these were banned in anticipation of fear of spread of violence, threat to mankind, loss to property and law and order situation.
He said that these services were also stopped to check the spread of wrong information and rumours which were being spread through these services during the recent agitation.
