Haryana Agriculture Minister Om Parkash Dhankar said that purchase centers would be opened in village Jhojhu Kalan and Badhwana of district Bhiwani in the coming season, for which land has been made available by the Development and Panchayat Department.
Mr Dhankar was replying to a question during the ongoing session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
In reply to a question about steps being taken by the state government for construction of drains and water drainage problem in village Barwala, Bataur and Sultanpur of district Panchkula, Mr Dhankar said that Rs 4.78 crore have been approved for the construction of drains in these villages as permanent solution to water drainage problem.
Besides this, tenders have been accepted by Public Works (Building and Roads) Department for the construction of 600 meter road from school in Barwala and construction of drains. Also, under Liquid and Solid Waste Management scheme for digging of ponds and drains in Bataur and Sultanpur, Rs 42.63 lakh and Rs 17.51 lakh have been approved, respectively and work on this would soon be started.
