Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has given approval to the Teacher Transfer Policy-2016 formulated by the Education School Education Department. Under the policy, teachers of government schools would get their desired place of posting without any recommendation.
This was disclosed by Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma after a meeting held with officers of the Department under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister here today.
Mr. Sharma said that the State Government had formulated the policy to ensure justice with all teachers. Describing the policy as completely transparent, he said that teachers seeking transfer could apply online.
He said that initially, those teachers who have been working in their present school or zone for less than five years, would be invited to indicate their preferred place of posting. Options for transfer would also be invited from teachers working in their present school or zone for more than five years. A combined list of both categories would be made and it would be considered as list of vacant posts.
INCENTIVE TO GIRL STUDENTS: With a view to encouraging and incentivising girl students in the educationally backward district of Mewat and in Hathin and Morni blocks of Palwal and Panchkula districts to pursue higher studies, the Haryana Government has decided to formulate a scheme to provide an incentive of Rs 6,000 per annum to the girls studying in government colleges of the state.
This was disclosed by the Haryana Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, after a review meeting of the Higher Education Department presided over by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, here today.
He said that such girl students of Mewat district and Morni and Hathin blocks as passed 12thstandard from their respective district/ block but are now pursuing higher education at other places in the state, would also be eligible for the incentive.
It has also been decided that special buses for girls would be started in Mewat district to encourage them to go in for higher education. Haryana ranks number seven in the country in terms of the per capita expenditure on higher education.
STATE UNIVERSITY APPROVED: While giving a major boost to higher education in the State, Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today approved one State University, nine new colleges and a Sanskrit College.
This was informed by Haryana Education Minister Mr Ram Bilas Sharma after a review meeting of Higher Education Department presided over by Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal here today. He said that the aim of present State Government is to provide qualitative education to the students especially to the girls.
While the State University would be set up in village Kakrola of district Gurgaon, Sanskrit College would be set up at Mata Mansa Devi Complex in Panchkula and it would be run by Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also approved the opening of nine new Government Colleges at Kalanwali and Rania in district Sirsa, Bilaspur and Radaur in district Yamunanagar, Badoli and Mandkola in Palwal district Faridabad, Raipurrani in district Panchkula, Manesar in district Gurgaon and Mohna in Ballabhgarh district Faridabad. Mr Sharma said that the starting of Law Classes in the premises of Government College, Sector-1 Panchkula is also in progress. Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra is the affiliating University for this college and a team of the University has inspected the proposed college site and submited its report. The College has also applied to the Bar Council of India (BCI) seeking approval to begin law classes.
It was also decided to set up incubation centres to promote entrepreneurship on a pilot basis in six government colleges in the districts of Panchkula, Karnal, Gurgaon and Mahendergarh.
