Haryana cooperative sugar mills produce 12.64 lakh quintals of sugar

CHANDIGARH, JAN 27

 The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 12.64 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 140.08 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.

          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that as compared to it, these sugar mills had produced over 10.85 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 120.43 lakh quintals of sugarcane during corresponding period last year. Also, 2,65,34,653 units of power have been exported by the cooperative sugar mills during this season as against 2,57,92,055 units of power exported during corresponding period last year.

          The Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad had produced a maximum of over 2.44 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 25.21 lakh quintals sugarcane, and exported 1,63,06,653 units of power. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced over 1.41 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 16.56 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak, which has produced 1.46 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 17.29 lakh quintals of sugarcane. The mill exported 95,63,400 units of power.

          He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal has produced more than 1.36 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 14.78 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced 1.22 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 14.38 lakh quintals of sugarcane. The mill also exported 6,64,600 units of power. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has so far produced over one  lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 10.86 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Sonipat sugar mill has produced more than 1.03 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 11.40 lakh quintals of sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced more than 1.04 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 11.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane.

          The Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 82,665 quintals of sugar by crushing 9.83 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal has produced 80,280 quintals of sugar by crushing 8.50 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced 1.05 quintals of sugar by crushing more than 11.99 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has exported 11,25,000 units of power.
