CHANDIGARH, OCT 21
The Haryana Government has reconstituted the State Level Coordination Committee on Crop Insurance under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for the implementation of PMFBY, Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme and other schemes based on crop insurance.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department said that the committee would be headed by Additional Chief Secretary or Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department. Other Members of the committee are Director, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Director Land Records, Special Secretary, Finance Department, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Director, Economic and Statistical Analyses, Director General Horticulture, Director, IMD Regional Centre, Chandigarh, Director, Directorate of Extension Education, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Director (Credit), Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, Chief General Manager, NABARD, General Manager, Reserve bank of India (RPCD), General Manager-cum-Convener, State level Bankers Committee, Punjab National Bank, Managing Director, Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank, General Manager, Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited and Regional Manager or General Manager or Head of Implementing Agencies.
He said that Joint Director (Statistics), Directorate of Agriculture Haryana would serve as Member Secretary of the Committee. The term of committee will be three years.
