The Haryana Government has promoted nine Inspectors of Police to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Ajay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Subhash Chander, Sadhu Ram, Ram Kumar and Ashok Kumar have been promoted with immediate effect.
Ram Dutt has been given ante-dated promotion with effect from October 6, 2016 from the date on which the name of his immediate junior Sudhir Taneja was brought on list G and promoted as DSP.
Ajaib Singh has been given ante-dated promotion with effect from August 29, 2014 from the date on which the name of his immediate junior Randhir Singh was brought on list G and promoted as DSP.
Umed Singh has been promoted with immediate effect subject to the condition that nothing adverse against his ACR for the period from 2016-17 which is still awaited.
SOCIAL MEDIA CELL: Haryana Police has set up a Social Media Cell with immediate effect in the Police Headquarters, Panchkula. For this purpose, a Twitter handle @Police_Haryana has been created.
While giving this information today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order assisted by Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order and IGP, Security would be the Nodal Officer for posting tweets on the handle.
He said that a well trained Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) or Inspector would be the in-charge of the Social Media Cell under the supervision of the Nodal Officers. It is created with the objective of informing the general public and the media about action being taken by Haryana Police and successes being achieved by it in various fields of activities like law and order, crime prevention and detection, traffic, capacity building and other good works done by the Police.
All Commissioners of Police and District Superintendents of Police would also start and manage their Twitter handles in their respective districts, he added.
