CM to launch Volvo and Mercedes Benz service

 Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is also holding the portfolio of Transport Department has announced the launch of Volvo and Mercedes Benz service from Chandigarh to Hisar, Rohtak, Rewari and Yamunanagar from September 1, 2013. This is for the first time that this premium travelling service would be launched for these districts from the state capital.
            Giving details, Mr. Arun Kumar, Director General, State Transport said that luxury bus would start from Chandigarh at about 5 pm for Hisar and reach its destination at 9.30 pm. It would pass through Ambala City, Kaithal, Narwana.  The bus would start from Hisar at 5.30 am and reach Chandigarh at 10 am.
          He said that for Rohtak, the luxury bus would start from Chandigarh at 5 pm and reach Rohtak at 9 pm  and pass through Ambala Cantt., Pipli, Karnal, Panipat, Gohana. It would start from Rohtak at 6 am and reach Chandigarh at about 10 am. For Rewari, the bus would start at 10 pm and reach Rewari at 5 a.m and would pass through Ambala Cantt., Pipli, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and from Rewari, the bus would start at 9 am and reach Chandigarh at 4 pm.
          Mr.Arun Kumar said that Haryana Roadways would also launch its premium service from Chandigarh to Yamunanagar. The bus would start in the morning and would further go to Delhi and back in the evening. The fare of these buses would be 1.75 times of the fare for standard bus. For example, fare for Hisar would be approximately Rs.345 and for Rohtak, Rewari and Yamunanagar, the fare would be approximately Rs.350, Rs.510 and Rs.170 respectively. The special feature of these buses would be that it will be express service and would only pick and drop passengers for the intervening important places. For example, a passenger to Karnal, would travel after paying Rs.200. Similarly, on the Bus to Rewari, a passenger would travel up to Jhajjar by paying Rs.450 and on the bus to Rohtak, a passenger would travel up to Gohana by paying Rs.310, he added.
