Pending cases of ACP teachers to be cleared soon

The Haryana Education Minister, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal,  has said that all the pending cases  of  Assured Career Progression (ACP) teachers would be cleared shortly. Grievances redressal committees would also be constituted at the state and district level.  
            Mrs. Bhukkal was presiding over a meeting with representatives of Haryana School Teachers’ Association to discuss their various issues here today.
             The Minister said that rationalization policy was issued after discussion with teachers association and teachers were being adjusted according to the workload. She said that recruitment process of teachers was in progress. After selection, the new teachers would be deputed in schools, she added.  
          She sought the cooperation of Teachers’ Association in further bringing qualitative improvements in the educational standards in the state and urged the teachers to discharge their duties with upmost dedication.
            She directed the officers to ensure that all the district level officers should be present in the meeting during the counseling of teachers so as to bring transparency. She also instructed them to ensure completion of ongoing constructional activities in schools. For this, the department would request the Finance Department for one time release of funds, she added.
            Being a child-centric department, Mrs. Bhukkal said that our aim was to ensure quality education to the students. She also urged them to ensure best results in future. The Association assured the Minister that they would provide full cooperation.
            Later while talking to media persons, the Minister said that the matter concerning recognition of private schools was pending in the court. As per court orders, the department served notices to 1372 private schools. We don’t want closure of these schools. The matter is sub-judice and appropriate action would be taken as per court orders.
            Principal Secretary School Education, Mrs. Surina Rajan, Director General School Education Mr. Chander Shekhar, Director General Elementary Education Mr. D. Suresh and representatives of Haryana School Teachers Association were also present in the meeting.
