In Haryana, 20,45,856 metric tonnes of wheat has so far arrived in the mandis of the State, since the beginning of its procurement on April 1,2016. Out of the total arrival, 20,45,665 metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased by the government procurement agencies at Minimum Support Price.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that the procurement process is running smoothly in mandis of the state.
Giving details of the wheat procured by government agencies, he said that 5,97,847 metric tonnes of wheat has been
procured by Food and Supplies Department, whereas HAFED has procured 6,14,379 metric tonnes of wheat. He said that Food Corporation of India has purchased 2,39,290 metric tones of wheat, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 1,71,299 metric tonnes and 4,22,850 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by Haryana Warehousing Corporation. He said that apart from this, 191 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by traders.
Referring to arrival of wheat in different districts, he said that district Kaithal is leading in wheat arrival of 2,43,264 metric tonnes, followed by Karnal where 2,34,934 metric tonnes of wheat has arrived in the mandis. District Jind has recorded arrival of 2,27,182 metric tonnes, district Palwal 1,90,155 metric tonnes, Kurukshetra 1,62,481 metric tonnes, Hisar 1,53,205 metric tonnes, Panipat 1,30,929 metric tonnes, Sonipat 1,30,927 metric tonnes, Ambala 80,152 metric tonnes, Faridabad 75,733 metric tonnes, Fatehabad 56,073 metric tonnes, Rohtak 51,122 metric tonnes, Mewat 50,792 metric tonnes, Bhiwani 46,090 metric tonnes, Sirsa 46,083 metric tonnes, Gurgaon 39,855 metric tonnes, Yamunanagar 39,645 metric tonnes, Jhajjar 38,958 metric tonnes, Rewari 23,096 metric tonnes, Narnaul 17,880 metric tonnes and in Panchkula 7,300 metric tonnes of wheat has sofar arrived in the mandis.
