In Haryana, 4,25,321 metric tonnes of wheat has so far arrived in the mandis of the State. Out of the total arrival, 4,25,130 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured at Minimum Support Price by the government procurement agencies.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that the procurement process is running smoothly in mandis of the state.
He said that 1,29,858 metric tonnes of wheat has been
procured by Food and Supplies Department, whereas HAFED has purchased 91,438 metric tonnes of wheat. He said that Food Corporation of India has purchased 68,810 metric tonnes of wheat, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 14,584 metric tonnes and 1,20,440 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by Haryana Warehousing Corporation. He said that apart from this, 191 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by traders.
District Palwal is leading in wheat arrival where 1,05,376 metric tonnes of wheat has arrived, followed by Faridabad where 60,184 metric tonnes of wheat has arrived in the mandis. District Mewat has recorded 39,208 metric tonnes of arrival, district Guragon 25,572 metric tonnes, Panipat 25,153 metric tonnes, Jhajjar 21,266 metric tonnes, Kurukshtra 20,071 metric tonnes, Jind 17,252 metric tonnes, Hisar 14,824 metric tonnes, Sonipat 14,169 metric tonnes, Ambala 14,053 metric tonnes, Rewari 13,472 metric tonnes, Rohtak 12,576 metric tonnes, Yamunanagar 9,149 metric tonnes, Narnaul 9,248 metric tonnes, Karnal 9,310 metric tonnes, Bhiwani 8,746 metric tonnes, Kaithal 3,181 metric tonnes, Panchkula 1,709 metric tonnes and Fatehabad has 802 metric tonnes of wheat arrival in mandis.
