CHANDIGARH, JULY 24
The Haryana Education Minister, Mrs Geeta Bhukkal, today said
that the students of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) would be
given tool kits at the time of their admission so that they could
sharpen their skills during training period. Similarly, sewing machines
would be given to the girls enrolled in cutting and tailoring trade
during training period itself.
Mrs Bhukkal said that earlier the tool kits and sewing machines were
given to the students after the completion of their training. Now, the
same would be given at the time of admission and during training. She
said that all these efforts of the State Government were directed
towards improving the quality of education. The students after getting
the required tools could practice their skills even at home and this
would increase their job opportunities, she added.
She said that Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda wants to
make Haryana an education hub which resulted in setting up of Rajiv
Gandhi Education City, AIIMS II, IIT and IIM in Haryana.
