A foreign delegation of 25
Administrative Service Officers, which was on a four-day visit to Chaudhary
Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar today concluded their visit
at University.
The
foreign delegation, from 20 developing countries of South Africa and Asia, had
come here to do Advance Diploma Course on Human Resource Scheme and Development
and to attain practical knowledge in the field of Indian educational and
agricultural practices. The diploma course was sponsored by Ministry of
External Affairs.
On
the concluding day, the delegation convened a meeting with Dean of various
colleges of University as well as officers and had obtained information about
various educational and administrative aspects.
It
was the seventh occasion when ‘Tailor Made’ training had been imparted to
foreign officers by Agricultural Research and Educational Management Academy of
the University. The delegation visited adjoining village Balsamand to see the
soil development project there. The delegation visited Vermi-compost production
centre at village Shahpur and got information about organic fertilizer
production unit as well as self help group set up by NABARD.
