In Haryana, a separate teacher education
cadre for District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) and State
Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will be constituted.
A
decision to this effect was taken in a review meeting of Education Department
held under the Chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh

of education in the State and there is a need to further improve teachers’

new DIET centres would be set up in Mewat, Palwal, Jhajjar and Fatehabad
districts and Block Institutes of Education and Training would be set up in
Ambala, Sirsa and Ratia of Fatehabad.
It
was informed in the meeting that at present there were 17 DIET and two
