CHANDIGARH, JULY 15
Director
General, State Transport, Haryana, Mr Arun Kumar has warned that strict action
will be taken against those
employees who would participate in a call given by the Haryana Roadways Workers Joint Action
Committee for not plying Haryana
Roadways buses to Delhi.
For dealing with the
impending call, special teams have been constituted to keep an eye over the situation and ensure that the buses
are plied from July 19 to 21,
2013.
Mr Arun Kumar, who had a meeting with General Managers of
Haryana Roadways today, said that instructions to initiate strict action
against such erring employees have already been issued. He said that as inconvenience to passengers because of this call is not acceptable,
it must be dealt with sternly.
For those drivers and
conductors, who had participated in the last call given by Haryana Roadways Workers Joint Action
Committee for June 15, 2013, it
was decided that loss on account of not plying buses to Delhi must
be recovered from the driver and conductor of the bus.
Also, criminal case
should be registered against those Union leaders, who were present there and physically obstructed and prevented the
buses from going to Delhi and caused obstruction in the discharge
of official duties and forced the passengers to alight from the bus.
He said that action should also be initiated against some
other employees, who were present and were
causing inconvenience to the passengers thus causing loss and irreparable damage to the image
of the Haryana Roadways.
