Fifth
seeded pair of Rohan Bopanna (India) and Edouard Roger-Vasselin (France) defeated American duo of John Isner and
Nicolas Monroe 7-6 (2), 7-5 in the doubles second round of the € 2,646,495 BNP Paribas Masters (ATP World
Tour) in Paris today.
The
Bopanna- Roger-Vasselin pair, who were given a first round bye, won 80 per cent
points (53 out of 66) while their opponents recorded 68 per cent service points
(47 out of 69).
The
Bopanna and Roger-Vasselin fired seven aces in reply to 4 by their rivals. Isner
and Monroe committed five double faults.
