Cooperative Societies, Haryana Ms. Poonam Nara has brought laurels to the State
in the e-Governance Executive Programme conducted by Department of Electronics
and Information Technology, Government of India. She not only adjudged overall
best individual performer but a group led by her had also secured first position
in this national programme. The programme was organized at Hyderabad from July
1 to October 5, 2013.
A group namely e3rive led by Ms Poonam also bagged first prize in White Paper
presentation on eCOOP (e-Governance in Cooperation Department) during the
programme. She secured first position by obtaining 513 marks out of 700 in
group performance.
She represented Haryana in this 6-week residential e-Governance Executive
Programme including study tour to Europe organized by National Institute for
Smart Government, Hyderabad working under the Union Ministry of Communication
and Information Technology. The programme was organized in two phases in which
25 officers from different departments of various states participated.
The first phase of the programme was held from July 1 to 20 at Hyderabad and
Ahemdabad and second phase from September 15 to October 5 at Hyderabad and
Europe with the objective of commitment to public service delivery. The primary
objective of the programme was to give a deeper understanding in terms of
knowledge, skills and attitude for accelerating the pace of e-Governance in the
country.
While appreciating Ms. Poonam for her outstanding achievements during the
programme, Vice President, National Institute for Smart Government, Hyderabad,
Dr. Piyush Gupta said that her experience and exposure would be beneficial to
Government of Haryana in furtherance of a goal of attaining different projects
of National e-Governance Plan in architecting e-Government policies and their
effective implementation.
