A 10-member delegation of Bhutan is visiting Haryana from tomorrow on a
3-day visit to discuss issues of mutual interest with senior officers of the
state government.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the delegation
would include Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr Dasho Sonam Tshering,
Director General, Department of Livestock, Mr Karma Drukpa, Director General,
Department of Agriculture, Mr Tenzin Dhendup, Director, Department of Trade, Mr
Sonam Wangchuk, Director, Department of Human Settlement, Mr Kinzang Norbu, Director,
Department of Industry, Mr Tandin Tshering, Chief of Bilateral Division, Asia
Pacific Region, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr Tenzin R. Wangchuk, General
Manager, DHI Infra, Mr Karma Geley, Executive Engineer, Department of Hydro
Power and Power System, Mr Ngawang Choeda and Officiating Chief Planning
Officer, Policy and Planning Division, Mr Mindu Dorji.
During their visit, on the first day, the delegation would be in Rohtak where
they would be taken to IMT Rohtak, HSAMB Mall, Cattle Feed Plant, Milk Plant
and en-route they would also visit private Murrah dairies.
On second day, they would be here and have meetings with officers of various
Departments including Haryana Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, Haryana
State Agricultural Marketing Board, HAFED, Animal Husbandry and Dairying
Department, Town and Country Planning, Power Department and Industries
Department. There would also be a wrap-up meeting at the level of Chief
Secretary alongwith all concerned Administrative Secretaries.
On the third day of their visit, they would be shown some sites of their
interest en-route Delhi and these included some private farms and Indo-Israel
projects at Gharaunda.
