CHANDIGARH,
DEC 22
The Haryana Government has modified its instructions regarding medical
reimbursement claims in which treatment is taken from any reputed or
specialized hospital outside the approved list of hospitals.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Finance Department said that
hence forth the recommendation of the Health Department would imply only the
grant of emergency certificate by the Civil Surgeon or Chief
Medical Officer. There would be no requirement of further clarification
or approval from the Health Department (Health Branch of Secretariat) and the
medical bills would be reimbursed accordingly.
However, there would be no change in other instructions in this regard which
state that due permission or approval of the appropriate authority in the
Administrative Department may be obtained before incurring such expenditure and
there is adequate budget provisions.
