Haryana Industrial Training Department has decided to start short term
courses in all trades related to Industrial Training Institutes (it is)
so that employment opportunities could be generated in different fields for the
youth who could not complete their studies due to various reasons.

Training Department Mr R. C. Verma said this in division level meeting held at
ITI, Sirsa today.
He said that arrangements were also being made for providing loans to the
youth, who had left their studies in between, to join short term
courses. He said that the department is laying special emphasis on the
placement of the students passing out from various trades. He said that
the department would ensure that 100 per cent placement was made in all
the ITIs of the state. He said that with a view to improve the qualitativeness
of all industrial training institutes, best institute award has also been
started and three industrial training institutes would be selected for these
awards. The ITIs bagging first, second and third position would be
given Rs one lakh, Rs 75000 and Rs 50,000 in cash respectively. Also, state and
district level competitions would be organised for the students. He said
that the students bagging first position in district level trade
competition would be sent in state level competition and the
students bagging first position in state level competition would be honoured
with special award and cash prize.
Mr Verma said that special facilities are being provided to the girl students
studying in ITIs by the state government. He said that all the girls are
being provided with free of cost tool-kit costing Rs 1000 and 30 per cent seats
have been reserved for them. He said that full fee exemption is being
given to the girl students of these institutes and so far 26000 girls have
taken this benefit.
