A farmers’ delegation of 18-member from 12 states of
Afghanistan today visited Sirsa district to acquaint themselves with
various agricultural technology adopted in Haryana.
While
stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the delegation
was on a visit to Sirsa district under National Horticulture Mission.
Besides, the modern agricultural practices adopted by the state farmers,
the members of the delegation were also informed about the policies and
programmes implemented by Haryana Government for the benefit of farmers
which they highly appreciated.
He
said that the delegation also visited modern nursery in village
Mangeana in Sirsa and obtained various information there. The delegation
appreciated modern techniques adopted by Haryana farmers like micro
irrigation system, drip irrigation and drip system. The delegation also
appreciated the facilities like crop insurance, cattle insurance, loan
on minimum interest, subsidy on modern agricultural equipments, setting
up of Kisan Clubs etc being provided by the State Government to the
farmers.
