Haryana State
Election Commissioner Dharam Vir said that polling for general election
for all wards of the Municipal Committee Loharu, district Bhiwani was held
peacefully and no untoward incident was reported from any area.The overall poll
percentage was about 87.43.
He said that it was held as per the
election programme issued on July 12, 2012 by the State Election Commission,
Haryana.
He said that Electronic Voting
Machines (EVMs) were used in these elections. One Election Observer and one
Expenditure Observer for the general elections of the Municipal Committee,
Loharu were appointed for smooth conduct of election. One Returning Officer and
one Assistant Returning Officer were appointed for Municipal Committee, Loharu.
The polling started at 7.30 a.m. and concluded at 4.30 p.m. Total number of
voters for today’s elections of Municipal Committee, Loharu are 7915 for 13
polling Stations.
He said that the counting of votes
started at the polling station immediately after the close of poll. After the
counting of votes, the Presiding Officers will send the account of votes
secured by each candidate in the prescribed form to the Returning Officer, who
will after compiling the votes declare such candidates elected, who have
secured the highest number of votes.
