PANCHKULA, AUG 14
Vivekians celebrated The Independence Day with huge
aplomb and perfect panache. Every nook and corner scented the great feelings of
national integration as the campus wore the vibrant look with tri-colour
balloons, flowers and rangoli.
The whole atmosphere was packed with patriotic
fervour. The National Flag was unfurled by Mr. Piyush Punj, principal of
school, followed by National Anthem. Numerous cultural items enthralled the
audience and glued them to their seats. Students delivered fiery orations and
exhorted the youth to remain ready at the beck and call of the nation round the
clock.
The poems packed with the passion of patriotism and sacrifice were
recited. The group dance, “Meri Jaan Tiranga Ha,” staged by students, instilled
the feeling of love for the motherland in every heart.
Vivekians presented classical
dance, “Dhin Tana Tana,” and group song, “Jis Ki Mohak” at HMT ground and Kalka
to mark the occasion.
Mr. Piyush Punj, principal, urged
students to shoulder responsibilities to take India to the pinnacles of progress
and prosperity. Slogans such as “Jai Hind”, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Bande
Mataram” resonated in the air.
The celebration concluded with
the distribution of sweets among students, teachers and employees of the
school.
