New Varsity to be set up in Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex

A new university will be set up in  Gurgaon- Manesar Urban Complex to be developed over an area of 1179 hectares in view of its projected population of 42.35 lakh  by the year 2031.
          The Haryana Chief Minister,Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who was presiding over a meeting of the State Level Committee of Town and Country Planning Department here said that while developing such a huge complex, it would be necessary to set up a university in this area for the benefit of the people. The campus of the university would  be spread over an area of 215 hectares in sector 68 of Gurgaon.
Mr Hooda also approved the Draft Development Plan for Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex-2031 A.D as per which the land use of about 1179 hectares of land situated on the western side of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway had been changed from industrial to Agriculture Zone, with prohibition on grant of any Change of Land Use (CLU) permission or of licence as per decision of “Cabinet Sub Committee on Infrastructure”.  
It was informed that under the plan seven new residential sectors, three small commercial belts and two industrial sectors would come up at Gurgaon. Also, public and semi public and open space zones had also been earmarked under the plan.
In sector 68, about 50 hectares of land had been earmarked with density of 1125 persons per hectare for providing affordable housing to Low Income Group (LIG) andMiddle Income Group (MIG) population. An area measuring 50hectares near village Dhankot had been reserved for dairy farming and Gaushala where  all the existing dairies in the city would be shifted. The peripheral road of sectors 63-A and 67-A has been extended from Sohna road up to National Highway-8. 
The existing Sohna-Gurgaon road would be widened to 60 meter with 50 meter wide green belt on either
 side of the road.
It was also informed that a 60 meter wide road would be constructed to provide connectivity to the acquired land of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) in sector 54 with the sector dividing road of sectors 53 and 54. This road has been extended in agriculture zone upto Gurgaon-Faridbad road. Besides, existing Gurgaon-Farukhnagar scheduled road via Wazirpur and Gurgaon-Badli-Bahadurgarh scheduled
road via Chandu Budheda would be widened to 75 meters with 30 meter green belt on both sides.
Mr. Hooda said that there was an urgent need to put in place a mechanism for the recycling of water as it could be used for construction purposes. On this, the concerned officers informed the Chief Minister that Sewerage Treatment Plants (STPs) had been set up in Gurgaon for this purpose.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Rao Dan Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Chhatar Singh, Deputy Principal Secretary Mr. R.S Doon, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Mr. Krishna Mohan, Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department Mr. Ramendra Jakhu, Principal Secretary, Industries Mr. Y.S. Malik, Principal Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department Mr. S.S Dhillon, Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department Mr. K.K. Jalan, Director General Town and Country Planning, Mr. T.C. Gupta, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Mr. Rajiv Arora and other members of the committee were also present in the meeting.
