The 66th Independence
Day was celebrated with a joyous patriotic fervor in school today. Mr Sarabjit Singh was the chief guest and Mr.Krishan
Lal Dhiman graced the occasion as guest of honour. Dr.D.R Arora, Pro-Vice
Chairman of DPS Pinjore was also present for the celebrations.
The celebrations commenced with the
flag hoisting by Mr.Sarabjit Singh followed by an address by the Principal
Mr.Samson Masih who motivated the students to contribute their maximum to the
development of the country by adopting honest, sincere, truthful means to reach
their goals in life.
Remembering the freedom fighters
with reverence, he said, their sacrifices have made it possible for us to
breath in free air and enjoy all the benefits of the citizens of an independent
nation. The boundaries of world have shrunk; therefore we are not responsible
only for the country but betterment of the whole world. Children dressed as
freedom fighters for the fancy dress show stole the show. The way each one of
them gave his introduction was laudable.
A prize distribution
function was also held to honor the scholars of the session 2011-12.
The chief guest
also congratulated everyone on this National festival.
