Education through smart classes in Sirsa Govt schools

Sirsa has become the first district of Haryana where students in government schools would get education through smart classes.
          This was stated by Member of Parliament, Dr. Ashok Tanwar after inaugurating digital classroom programme in Sirsa today. The digital classroom has, therefore, been started for 71 schools in district Sirsa.Haryana is second State after Karnataka where this programme has been implemented
          He said that a sum of Rs.two crore would be spent on this project implemented under Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF) Programme. District administration had signed an agreement with Pearson Education Service Private for implementation of the scheme. The company would provide all facility related to smart class in all 71 schools. First to twelfth class education would be provided through smart boards in digital classrooms. All subjects in Hindi and English language would be taught through smart boards. Resource persons of the company would impart training to teachers for implementation of this project.
          Dr. Tanwar said that employment opportunities at world level could be made available to the youth in this   era by connecting education to Information Technology. He said that “K-Yaan” programme, launched in district schools two years back, had shown encouraging  results. In furtherance of this project, district administration was setting up digital classroom in 71 schools in the district. Under BRGF programme, painting had also been carried out in many schools in the district on building and learning basis. He said that paintings and drawings depicting culture, history and developmental schemes on the pattern of Bhubaneshwar should be got conducted in premises of government offices in the district. This step would help in educating the general public and also help in providing valuable information to them.
          He said that about Rs. 50 crore had been incurred under BRGF programme in the district. Central Government had accorded approval for BRGF programme for the district for another five years. He asked the officials of Pearson Company to run the scheme of digital classroom smoothly.
