CHANDIGARH, NOV 17
Haryana Day was
celebrated today as a part of the ongoing India International Trade Fair
in Pargati Maidan, New Delhi and Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder
Singh Hooda visited the Haryana Pavilion and appreciated the theme
of ‘Skilling India’ which has been adopted for this Trade Fair.
Mr Hooda evinced keen interest in various products displayed in Haryana
Pavilion. He said that ‘Skilling India’ is a good theme and important in
present day context as the youth needed to be trained for making them
employable. He said that the present Congress Government in the state has taken
many steps to improve the employability of the youth and many national and
international level educational institutions have been set up during the
previous seven years. There were just 25,000 professional seats in the year
2005, which had been increased to 1.5 lakh. All kind of educational facilities
and training for various industries were being provided in the state to make
the youth of the state more employable.
The Chief Minister announced to give Rs 3.51 lakh to the artistes who had
presented various cultural items on the occasion of Haryana Day celebrations
today.
Mr Hooda was accompanied by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Chhatar
Singh, Political Advisor Prof Virender, Media Advisor Mr Shiv Bhattia,
Principal Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Industries, Mr Y.S. Malik,
Principal Resident Commissioner Mr P.K. Mahapatra, Principal Secretary
Industrial Training, Mr Dhanpat Singh, Principal Secretary , Science and
Technology, Mr P.K. Dass, Additional Resident Commissioner and Director General
of Information and Public Relations, Mr Anand M. Sharan and many other senior
officers of the State Government.
