CHANDIGARH, JAN 18
The foundation
stone of metro rail project between Bahadurgarh and Delhi costing Rs 1991 crore
would be laid by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda at
Bahadurgarh on February 2.
While
stating this today, MP from Rohtak, Mr. Deepender Singh Hooda said that Union
Urban Development Minister, Mr. Kamal Nath along with other dignitaries would
also be present on this occasion. He said that Bahadurgarh being gateway of
Haryana, with the commissioning of the metro rail project, different parts of
Haryana would be directly connected. Like Gurgaon and Faridabad metro rail
projects, the State Government would also bear half of the expenditure of
Bahadurgarh metro rail projects.
He
said that the length of metro route from Delhi to Bahdurgarh would be 11.182 km
out of which 4.27 km would fall in Haryana and 6.307 km would be in Delhi. He
said that Rs 912 crore would be spent on metro rail falling in Haryana
whereas Rs 1079 crore would be spent on metro rail in Delhi. He
said that the State Government would also provide land for setting up of metro
depot in the State and would bear an expenditure of Rs 788 crore on this
project. He said that all these metro train projects of Gurgaon, Faridabad and
now Bahadurgarh are result of farsightedness of Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The MP
said that expansion of Bahadurgarh-Mundka project to be started in February is
likely to be completed in March 2016 which would facilitate people travelling
between Bahardurgarh and Delhi. He said that expansion of such metro trains in
the State would not only facilitate the people of the State, but would also
attract investors and businessmen towards the State. He said that this would
generate new employment opportunities and would result in all round
development of the State.
