Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is also chairman
of Haryana Sahitya Akademi, has announced the names of litterateurs to be
awarded for their outstanding contribution to Haryanvi literature for the year
2012.
He
said that Dr. Puran Chand Sharma of Rohtak would be honoured with Pt. Madhav
Prasad Mishr Samman and would be given cash prize of Rs 2.50 lakh, Dr. Rajbir
Singh Dhankhar from Rohtak would be honoured with Mahakavi Surdas Samman and
would be given cash prize of Rs 1.50 lakh, Mr. Madhukant from
Sampala would be honoured with Babu Balmukund Gupt Samman and would be given Rs
one lakh as cash prize. Similarly, Mr. Arun Naithani of Chandigarh would be
honoured with Lala Desh Bandhu Gupt Samman and cash prize of Rs one lakh, Mr.
Sumer Chand from Sonepat would be given Pt. Lakhmi Chand Samman and cash prize
of Rs one lakh and Dr. Vishavbandhu Sharma from Bhiwani would be honoured with
Jan Kavi Mehar Singh Samman and cash prize of Rs one lakh.
He
said that Mr. Jaimini Haryanvi from Delhi would be honoured with Aditya Alhar
Hasya Samman and cash prize of Rs one lakh and Mrs. Kamal Kapoor from Faridabad
would be honoured with Shrestha Mahila Rachnakar Samman and cash prize of Rs
one lakh. He said that Dr. Madan Sahni from Gurgaon, Dr. Baldev Raj Shant from
Faridabad, Mr. Tejender Sharma from Faridabad, Mr. Dharampal from Sonepat, Dr.
K.K. Rattu from Chandigarh and Mr. Surender Bansal from Chandigarh would be
honoured with Vishesh Sahitya Sevi Samman.
