Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have produced a total of 6847
quintals of sugar by crushing 88.32 lakh quintals of sugarcane up to January
15, 2013 during the current crushing season.
While
stating this here today, a spokesman of the Haryana State Federation of
Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Shahbad sugar mill recorded the highest
crushing of 15.90 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Rohtak sugar mill has crushed
11.55 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Karnal 8.44 lakh quintals, Kaithal 8.26 lakh
quintals, Panipat 7.99 lakh quintals, Meham sugar mill has crushed 7.78 lakh
quintals of sugarcane; Gohana 7.44 lakh quintals; Palwal
Cooperative sugar mill has crushed 7.89 lakh quintals, Sonepat 6.34 lakh
quintals and Jind 6.33 lakh quintals.
He
said that similarly, HAFED sugar mill Assandh has produced 650 quintals of
sugar by crushing 7.77 lakh quintals sugarcane.
