Students of educational institutions in Mewat district will undergo health checkup under Indira Bal Swasthya Yojana and those requiring treatment would be treated free of cost.
Instructions to this effect have been given to concerned functionaries by Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission, Haryana, Dr Rakesh Gupta, who reviewed the status of health services in Mewat district in a meeting held today under Rapid Assessment of Health Facilities in Mewat Programme, in Nuh today.
He said that the report of Indira Bal Swasthya Yojana has revealed that 29 children of 38 schools were not keeping good health and they should be treated after conducting surgery free of cost. He also directed them to launch a special campaign to conduct health checkup and provide treatment free of cost to those suffering from any ailment.
He also stressed the need to speed up the construction of ‘Swasthya Sewai Nirman Bhawan’ and complete the remaining work in three months. He also expressed concern over low rate of immunization and institutional deliveries. He stressed the need to set up delivery huts in more sub health centres.
