Students of
educational institutions in Mewat district will undergo health checkup under
Indira Bal Swasthya Yojana and those requiring treatment would be treated free
of cost.
Instructions to this effect have been given to concerned functionaries by
Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission, Haryana, Dr Rakesh Gupta, who
reviewed the status of health services in Mewat district in a meeting held
today under Rapid Assessment of Health Facilities in Mewat Programme, in Nuh
today.
He said that the report of Indira Bal Swasthya Yojana has revealed that 29
children of 38 schools were not keeping good health and they should be treated
after conducting surgery free of cost. He also directed them to launch a
special campaign to conduct health checkup and provide treatment free of cost
to those suffering from any ailment.
He also stressed the need to speed up the construction of ‘Swasthya Sewai
Nirman Bhawan’ and complete the remaining work in three months. He also
expressed concern over low rate of immunization and institutional deliveries.
He stressed the need to set up delivery huts in more sub health centres.
