CHANDIGARH, FEB 19
Three residents of Haryana who have claimed
innovations in the field of mechanical engineering, will make their
presentations at Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology,
Murthal, in district Sonipat on February 21.
While
stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Department of Science and
Technology said that Mr. Satish Kumar Kalia, a resident of village Chaushala,
district Kaithal has claimed that he has innovated a new diesel car by spending
a small amount of Rs 70,000. Mr. Mayank Bhardwaj from Palwal and his team of
students have claimed to have developed a Pneumatrix-Air Bike. Mr. Lachman
Singh, a resident of village Saungal, district Kaithal has claimed to have
developed a machine ‘Karan Shakti’ to get mechanical power advantage using
leverage.
He
said that during the presentations, Principal Secretary, Science and
Technology, Mrs Dheera Khandelwal, Vice Chancellor of Deen Bandhu Chhotu
Ram University of Science and Technology Er H.S.Chahal and other faculty
members would be present. Experts from Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram University of
Science and Technology University and National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra
would be present during the presentation to evaluate the innovations and
students would be there to learn.
He
said that it would give an opportunity to students to interact with innovators
and would also encourage them towards cost effective innovations useful in
daily life. The Department has always encouraged such innovations in addition
to promotion of science education, he added.
THREE IAS OFFICERS PROMOTED
The
Haryana Government has promoted three IAS officers to higher administrative
grade with immediate effect. They are Tarun Bajaj, T.V.S.N. Prasad and R.K.
Khullar.
Tarun
Bajaj and T.V.S.N. Prasad would continue to function on their present places of
posting till further orders. R.K. Khullar, at present on Central
deputation, has been given proforma promotion with effect from the date of
promotion of his immediate junior T.V.S.N. Prasad.
JUNIOR
ENGINEER CAUGHT RED HANDED
Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has
caught Rajendra Singh, Junior Engineer, Haryana Agriculture Marketing Board red
handed while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 7000 from Mr. Rajphal, a
resident of village Gaddi Kheri district Rohtak in lieu of the balance payment
of construction of road done by him.
While
stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case has
been registered against him under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act in
the Police Station of the State Vigilance Bureau, Rohtak. Further
investigation of the case is in progress, he added.
