CHANDIGARH, Feb 22
Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda today expressed the hope
that the Railway Budget for the year 2013-14 would fulfill the of the people in the State and the State might
get the project of a Rail Coach Factory for which it had been urging the
Union Railway Minister, Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal.
The Chief Minister was replying to
the questions of media persons here today.
When his attention was drawn towards
the inter-state water issue as mentioned by the Governor, Mr Jagannath Pahadia
in his address to the members of the Legislative Assembly on the first day of
the Budget Session of the State Assembly, the Chief Minister said that Haryana
was not getting its due share of Ravi-Beas waters due to non-completion of
Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal and that was a big loss to the State. There was also
Presidential reference in this issue. “Haryana would do its best to get its due
share of water”, he added.
In reply to a question concerning the
Governor’s address in the House today, the Chief Minister said that we would
follow his directions and thank him for highlighting the achievements of the
State Government.
GEETA BHUKKAL HAILS GOVERNOR’S
ADDRESS
Haryana Education Minister Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal has hailed the Governor’s
address in the Budget Session of Haryana Assembly today and said that the
Governor has highlighted and praised the achievements of state government.
Mrs.
Bhukkal was replying to the queries of media persons during the ongoing Budget
session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
She
said that Governor’s address highlighted all the significant developmental
works being carried out by the state government in every field. On being asked to
comment on the issue of walk out by opposition, she said that opposition should
come and raise the issues of their constituencies which they represent and
participate in the session.
FDA TEAM SEIZES
INTOXICATING DRUGS IN KAITHAL
A team of Haryana Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) raided residential premises of one Jitin Gupta, in Kaithal
and seized intoxicating drugs of 13 kinds. Also, it was an unlicensed premises
and one of the seized drugs was under the category of Narcotics drugs under
Narcotics Drug Psychotropic Substance (NDPC) Act 1985
While stating
this here today, a spokesman of FDA said that an FIR has beenregistered against
the accused at Civil Lines Police Station, Kaithal.
He said that
the Police took Jitin Gupta in custody on the spot and a separate case would be
initiated against him under the Drug and Cosmetic Act 1940.He said that chemist
shops in Cheeka and its surrounding villages were also raided and many
contraventions of Drug and Cosmetic Act 1940 were found. Action would be
initiated against the culprits under the law, he added.
