With
a view to impart technical know-how to the farmers and the farm women,
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar will
provide vocational training in the disciplines of agriculture, home
science and livestock production in different districts of the state in the
month of March. The training will be conducted by Krishi Vigyan
Kendras of the University located in these districts.
According
to Dr. J.S. Dhankhar, Director of Extension Education of the University, the
vocational training will be conducted at Ambala, Bhiwani, Faridabad,
Jind, Karnal, Mohindergarh and Sirsa. He said that at Ambala, training on
cultivation of fruit crops in green house would be conducted from March
13 to 15, whereas in Bhiwani and Sirsa, training on value addition in
food production and honey bee rearing would be held from March 19 to 22
and March 19 to 20, respectively.
The
trainings on fruit and vegetable preservation, cultivation of Dhigri
mushroom and safe storage of foodgrains would be organized from March 11 to 13
at Jind, from March 7 to 8 in village Subri in district Karnal and from
March 24 to 25 at Munak in district Karnal. He said that the training
would also be held on garment making at Faridabad from March 4 to 8, garment
stitching and soft toy making at Fatehabad from March 12 to 16, cutting and
tailoring at Mohindergarh from March 12 to 14, skill development in marketing
of milk and its products in Subri from March 7 to 8 and drafting,
cutting and stitching of garments at Bajidpur in district Karnal from
March 11 to 16.
