Haryana records sugar recovery of 9.04 per cen

Sugarmills in Haryana have achieved an average sugar recovery of 9.04 per cent during the current crushing season 2012-13, as on January 31 which is the highest in the last five years.
          While stating this today, Haryana Cooperation Minister, Mr. Satpal Sangwan said that as compared to it, the sugarmills in the State had recorded average sugar recovery level of 8.38 per cent during the corresponding period of 2011-12.
          He said that the sugar recovery level of cooperative sugarmills during the current crushing season 2012-13 in the State was 8.73 per cent as compared to 7.75 per cent during the last crushing season of 2011-12.
 EXEMPTIONS UNDER INCOME TAX ACT 1961  TO DONORS
Haryana Transport Commissioner  Sumita Misra today disclosed that the Union Finance Ministry has approved exemptions under Income Tax Act 1961  to donors of funds or institutions carrying out road safety programmes through engineering measures, enforcement, education and emergency.
She said that any fund or institution set up for carrying out road safety programmes might seek registration under Section 12AA and approval under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. The donor to the fund or institution may claim deduction of 50 per cent of the amount of the sum donated, from the income, she added.
           Mrs Misra said that this decision  would give a boost to Road Safety Programmes and activities being carried out in the country.
She said that Haryana Transport Department was in the process to set up Road Safety Awareness Clubs in the Government colleges in the State.
VIGILANCE BUREAU ARRESTS TWO FOREST EMPLOYEES
Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Kulbir Singh, Forest Daroga and Jora Singh, Labourer posted on contact basis in Forest Department, Julana, district Jind, red handed while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 2000 from Mr Dharmender Singh, a resident of New Vijay Nagar, Rohtak in lieu of not registering case against them.
            While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case has been registered against them under section 7,13,49,88 of Prevention of Corruption Act in the Police Station of the State Vigilance Bureau, Hisar. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
