CHANDIGARH, SEPT 25
The Industries and Commerce Department, Haryana has invited applications
from the outstanding manufacturer exporters of Haryana for State Export Awards
for the year 2012-13.
While stating
this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that Large and Medium,
Small Scale and Micro units exporting their products directly are eligible for
the award.
He said that under the revised Export Award Scheme, there would be total
18 outstanding exporter awards of Rs. one lakh each in nine different
industrial groups. Apart from this one outstanding women entrepreneur exporter
award of rupees one lakh and 19 consolidation prizes for Micro and Small Scale
and Large and Medium industries would also be given under the scheme.
The spokesman said that the 18 outstanding exporter awards which
would be given in the category of Large and Medium Industries and
Micro and Small Scale Industries across nine different industrial groups
included one each in engineering auto and auto components, one each in agro
based food and horticulture, one each in glass, rubber and ceramics, one each
in scientific instruments and home appliances, one each in textile,
hosiery, readymade garments, leather and footwear, one each in handloom
and handicrafts, one each in electronics, IT and ITES, one each in
pharmaceutical, drugs, bio-tech and one award in miscellaneous. Apart from
this, one award in the category of outstanding women exporter entrepreneur
would also be given.
The spokesman
said that the eligible manufacturer exporters could submit the resume of their
attainments in the office of Joint Director, District Industries Centre of
their concerned districts on the prescribed form by October 21, 2013. Further details of the
scheme alongwith the prescribed form could be obtained from the website www.haryana.gov.in,
he added.
While detailing
the eligibility criteria under the scheme, he said that the exporting
manufacturing units situated in Haryana would be eligible for the export awards
provided their export turnover is counted towards exports from Haryana by
office of Director General Foreign Trade. Similarly, application under the
‘Women Export Award’ would be considered only if the exporting units is owned
and managed by a women entrepreneur or proprietor with 51 per cent or higher
share holding in the partnership or private limited company. A proprietorship
exporting unit would be given preference, he further added.
