Union Ministry of
Tourism has granted permission to Haryana Tourism Corporation (HTC) to
implement ‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak’ (HSRT) training scheme at its various tourist
complexes. The courses under the scheme would commence on September
27,2013.
While stating
this here today, a spokesman of HTC said that the Central government has taken
this initiative to empower the youth belonging to economically weaker sections
of the society and promote skill development in various trades amongst them. He
said that under the scheme, courses in food production and
food and beverages would be conducted which would be managed by officials
in-charge of various tourist complexes.
He said that
boys and girls falling between age group of 18 and 28 years with class VIII as
minimum qualification would be eligible for these courses
which would be provided free of cost by the Central government. A skill
test would be conducted at the end of the course and those getting through the
skill test would be awarded the certificates. He said that
tool-kit,uniform, stipend at the rate of Rs 2000 for food production and Rs
1500 for food and beverages services would be given to the students. This would
be in addition to free lunch.
He said that
such courses would be conducted at 15 tourist complexes of HTC. The candidates
successfully completing the course would have an opportunity to get employment
in hotel and catering establishments not only in India but across the globe.
The application forms are available in the tourist complexes enlisted to
conduct the course and at website www.haryanatourism.gov.in.
